The Ongoing Dance of Jim and I

Duality exists in all we do. It is a dance of opposites creating dynamic relations thru flow and interaction. Resistance to change, and to being exposed to ever widening points of view and experience is something we can all learn by if we choose to do so. Again, and for many months, we have this wonderfully creative opportunity for bridging to a higher level like the rungs of a ladder, whose value lies in being at right angles to the support of the main stems. Or, like a violin family instrument, where the resistance of bow at right angles to the string produces wonderful music. Jack LaLanne, a famous fitness coach of the past, used an approach to strengthening muscles based on what he called "dynamic tension", a pitting of one set of muscles against another. The strengthening and value of this exercise is what is derived from the tension. We do this every day, often under duress and irritation, just like oysters making pearls out of irritating sand particles.
This is the nature of squares, T squares, and Grand Crosses in Astrology (and elsewhere). They are seemingly difficult or in this case, complex passages that are put in our paths to learn and to grow from. This is in contrast to Trines and rand Trines, which make for an easy flow but are often taken for granted.
Resistance can create heat, light, and power. People and plants often learn more thru challenge than thru an easy flow. Yet a challenge remains to be compassionate towards that we do not understand or embrace. Many short sighted people do not consider this compassion to be important, or perhaps a form of weakness if one is insecure, but it is essential to the navigation of the complexities of life, coming to sharp focus in the present.
Much of the talk in the recent Astrological realm has to do with the present Grand Cross at the New Moon, and continuing for the next few weeks in various forms. This consists of —
Sun, Moon, Venus in conjunxion in Gemini at the New Moon.
Square Jupiter in Virgo, which is square Saturn in Sagittarius
Which is Square Neptune in Pisces
The middle of the Mutable (or changeable and dualistic) Signs are most affected, so if your Sun, Moon, Rising, or any other important planet is in the middle of the Mutable Signs (above mentioned), the effex are intensified. Primarily, it gives all of us a very full plate, too much on the agenda, and vast immediate opportunities, some of which are real and some are illusions (with details to follow).
The Jupiter Square Saturn portion has been going on for a few months now in effect, stimulating most of us to be juggling many activities while gazing at the vast landscape of upcoming possibilities, all the while with too much on our plate and a sense of running of out time. Opportunities abound now, but who has the time to integrate all of this contrary abundance? That can also have a dark side, or at least for some the potential of juggling just to maintain. Wanderlust can also be a major distraxion, and many find it difficult to commit now, with greener grass just in the next potential pasture.
Making choices now and following your heart, while investing some reflection time into gazing into the creative future is key. What we choose in the present unfolds in the future.

If you were released to be totally allowed to immerse in your next life changing endeavor, what would it be?
It is very diverse and different for everyone, but here are some clues to the roadmap —
Jupiter in Virgo has come out of retrograde, but is now square Saturn, more pronounced as Saturn is in Sagittarius (home to Jupiter). Jupiter (abundance and opportunity) in Virgo (work and service, health and hygiene, healing, cleaning, purifying). It is also a realignment with truth, faith, philosophy, and travel. Again, the challenge may now be about choosing which potential abundance most serves, and Jupiter in Virgo implies much work but does not promise income directly.
Saturn in Sagittarius inspires freedom, opportunity, casting off shackles and rebellion from what holds us back. The extreme her is wanderlust and avoiding commitment, blind rebellion, and spinning your wheels rather than making the choice for self responsibility and moving forward. Time for self honesty and inquiry.
Neptune in it's home place of Pisces is also involved. While the planet of the ethereal and nebulous dreamscapes is reinforced in its own sign, the dark side is also coming into play. This includes deception, (especially of the self), wishful thinking and believing, delusions and fantasies inspired by non-productive daydreaming, drugs, addixions, and basically being at right angles to the truth. Integrity may be a challenge now. Yet one could also interpret this combination as dream manifestation opportunity after previously creating a platform and place for such. Karma is a double edged sword.
Finally but primarily, the New Moon is also conjunct with Venus, increasing social opportunity and a waking up into the airy flavor of Summertime. This bridges the personal, emotional, and social energies of now. And this could be at odds potentially with all of those other opportunities and endeavors, like previous commitments. A clue here is that duality and contradixion are guiding the paradigm of now. With Venus involved, also a social time that could bring new love into the mix for some. Squares do not have to be obstacles, but the "dynamic tension" is real this lunar month, as the rest of the T square involving the aforementioned Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune, continues from late May to early July, and then again in August.
Then, the other obvious elephant in the room is that catalyst for action and personal power, Mars Retrograde. This extends as previously mentioned, from April 18th to the end of June. At the end of May, Mars retrograde slipped back into the murky and emotional sign of Scorpio, (always fun to mention as it is the sign of sex, death, and the dark side).It should be obvious that many people are finding challenges in their relations now as the quest to realign with personal power is so great, and this is the time for the periodic exhale that occurs every two years under Mars retrograde. Secrets, intrigue, and intense purification are a theme now. Do not hold on, release, but own your own darkness and do not project it onto others. Easier said than done. The layers are peeled back, and some of us will feel exposed, others the great healing that is available now, especially for old wounds of power or sexually related, or both. Not the time to circle the wagons and shoot back, but to exhale the past and empty into the possibility of the future.
What is this good for? Forgiveness, depth, insight. Exhaling and integrating the past gives us all yet another growth opportunity.
General advice for all- Realign your intentions with the truth of your heart, be diligent, and all will follow naturally as the Summer unfolds mystery into Sunlight.
